Annually, National Auctioneers Week is the week leading up to the first Saturday in May – National Auctioneers Day.
National Auctioneers Association members take part in a week-long promotional campaign that highlights the auction method of marketing.
This 2020 National Auctioneers Week is April 27 – May 2, culminating with National Auctioneers Day on Saturday, May 2, 2020. The auction industry across the United States serves individuals, farmers, large and small businesses, non-profits, and other organizations, moving over $250 billion of property from sellers to buyers each year.
Auctioneers sell all kinds of real and personal property each year. Our report in 2018 outlined specifically what major asset classes comprised the auction marketplace: https://mikebrandlyauctioneer.wordpress.com/2019/09/25/the-state-of-the-united-states-auction-market-2018/.

There never has — nor will be — one single auction where marketing and management didn’t (won’t) play a key role. To find the right buyers, marketing is paramount. Only with proper management can any auction meet commercially reasonable standards.
